Gritty Detroit

This is my "Detroit" 4-string build that I just finished. Wood is dyed blue with Detroit Old English "D" with darker blue flames on the face. Two .45 cal casings above and below the bridge. Detroit City skyline down the maple neck and fretboard. Aluminum nut and sealed tuners. Tele style control plate with a blade bucker pickup. Strat style bridge system. Diamond plate output jack. On the back there is a diamond plate Superman logo. Chrome corner guards all around. White pearloid pickup ring. And of course a beer opener so you can use the bottle when you can't find your slide. #ScratchGuitars

  • It was a pain in the butt..haha! I had been playing with transfering photos to wood. So I found a cool skyline pic online. It was tricky to cut out the skyline and get it transfered to the neck before dyeing the wood with food coloring. I had to delute it right around the buildings to give it a sunset look. Otherwise it was to hard to see the skyline.
  • This is awesome! One of the best fretboards I've ever seen. Really cool idea.

  • Oh!   Best part!
