You don`t !!!! use a rod under the glass, they only work by pressure from the strings like in a bridge with a saddle on top of the rod. If you want to stick something under the glass maybe a piezo disc would be better. They work from vibration off the top or in a bridge base with a brass rod or bolt as the saddle.
not to sure about glass as a top...being it doesn`t have any acoustic property`s....unless you use a rod or disc piezo in the bridge or a pup as the pickup...then the glass is just there for looks.

Haha. Not under the glass,. As the glass is convex, I plan to make a saddle block under the bridge to put the rod in.
