When you post a photo, PLEASE give us some description!!! OK! As I am a new CBG builder and have been making fancy boxes with exotic wood for a couple years. Adding a neck to the boxes seems so natural. The building of guitars has consumed all my free since I discovered CBG's. I really I’m trying to keep to the basic cigar box building rules. Neck though the body. Neck and fretboard straight and flat. Body straight and flat. This box guitar is a true acoustic guitar the top only touches the edge of the box. The top, bottom and sides are 1/4" thick and seem to work well. #4 Boxy lady has a loud golden sound and no bowing under string pressure. The neck is 1 7/8" wide with 8.5 mm string spacing achieved with a custom tail piece and tuner spacing across a zero fret. I will be using a C. B. Gitty rail runner bridge and UK 2000 Pre amp. will be applying the fifth and final coat of teak oil tomorrow and will have to allow 2 days of curing time before installing hardware.
