GBG Tenor Uke

Played a Uke for the first time a few weeks ago so decided to build one. Sounds OK :-)

  • Thanks, Buggy.  Funnily enough it seems to play better than the one I just bought.  I guess the problem is that short strings don't have much weight to resonate.

  • You're right, Uncle John, Ukes are fun.  I never really gave them much thought until I was at a neighbour's BBQ.  Someone handed me a uke and, as I had been accidentally struck drunk, I could play it.  I was wrong to be dismissive of them - they are great !

  • Thanks, Uncle John.  The saddle is a bit of brass rod.  Unfortunately, I didn't have any brass rod that was thick enough so it's sat on a piece of copper, held in place by epoxy.

  • High nines, Digly.  Very fine colors, wood grains, pup, proportions.   Cool saddle too, but I can not see what it is.  Ukes are fun.  Lots of lessons on youtube.
