Thanks guys! Uncle John, it sounds really good. A little tinny of course, but nice volume acoustically. Through the pickup there is just a little metallic sound. I tried some Dunlop 'heavier' electric strings that I really like, almost as thick as acoustic strings, wanted something with good acoustic volume but also metal colored instead of bronze.
Boy Scout mess kit tin guitar - it was posted in the tin contest and someone was asking for some details. 24.5" scale, main construction is all 1x2 oak, cut and glued. The tin is screwed to the base from the inside.

Ditto as Uncle John says, plus great vision on the engineering, Kigar!
Makes me wish I had kept my old Boy Scout mess kit.
How could I miss that mess (kit) !?!?! I don't know what to say about this one. I like every feature from top to bottom. How does it sound?
