    Maybe putting the sound hole in the back would be better. Normally that is where the sound comes out for banjos.

    Thanks, I think I am losing most of my sound from the contact with the through neck which I am going to fix.  If not, I will try a hole.  Do you have a preference for the best location?  It looks like you have built a lot.  BTW, I love your work also.

    a side soundhole might give you a little more volume as well. Very cool etching.

    The sound is good but it isn’t as loud as I would like.  The head deflected more than I thought it would and it is in contact with the through neck so it is taking away from the sound.  I have to take it apart and increase the gap between the head and the through neck.
