I visited a friend today and he went through his loft and his garage and came up with all this. The three pieces in the foreground (with the gloves on) are about 5' long, by 11.5" x 7/8". I don't know what the wood is but it is hard and heavy. There are oak floorboards just to the right of that. Two solid mahogany draws, some beech, a little maple and in one of the draws are a couple of folding boxwood rulers (broken, so I don't feel bad about cutting them up) that will be fine for small parts. He was just glad to get rid of it and I am glad to give it a new home.

Yes. Those big boards (whatever they are) will be perfect for necks. Some of the oak floorboards will also make necks. The smaller section bits can be laminated. The big beech pieces are too short to do a whole through neck, but if the neck is spliced they should work. The other bits will do for all those other bits that are needed.
