Hahahahaha...see it`s catching on ! I get great satisfaction from making picks and seeing how different woods react when used. The wood in the pic that Brian found is Hornbeam...very hard and a dense grain wood..back in the day Hornbeam was used for plow handles and spacer bearing for freight wagons. So using it for a pick is a no brainer..it`ll last forever !
