This is the first guitar I have ever made. I found an old sterling silver silverware box at good will one day. Add a spaghetti strainer and a couple of sink drains. The neck is a 2x2 oak from Lowes that I carved with a hand grinder on the picnic table. The fret board is 3/16 x 2 mahogany from Lowes. The electronics came from a broken guitar at a garage sale for $6.00. I reused the frets as well. I cut the fret slots with a hacksaw blade with a depth stop glued to the side. I put strings on it a week ago and it seems to be holding in tune. Sounds like a banjo. But , electrify it and it has more of a guitar sound. A bit different. Thanks to Cigar Box Nation I found a ton of great advise even a fret calculator to get me threw the final step. Sorry about the photo, I know it`s not good.
