Fonseca 3 string CBG

After a 4 month break from the CBG world it felt good to be making sawdust again. Built this one as a gift to someone very special to me. Fonseca box, maple neck/heel and bridge, Bruning Grain & Feed vintage yardstick fretboard, 23 3/4" scale, walnut fret markers, 30-06 shell saddle, Winchester 12 gauge shotgun shell volume knob, bass pup pickup, onyx nut, gold open gear pearloid tuners, gold box corners, brass grommet sound holes.

  • Thanks Clock!

  • Thanks Doc, good to be back :-)

  • Fine looking axe, as usual. Good to see you back.
  • Pat, I think the market hunters used the 4 gauge for geese.   Almost anti-aircraft ammo.

  • Thanks Darryl!

It would be a LOT warmer here if they were bags lol  :-)

  • nice one Patrick, boy there's a lot of plastic bags in the river

  • Thanks Dave, James, Jim, Pick and John. Good to be back :-)

Jim, no powder. Spent cartridge with a 30 cal. bullet tip.......I think???  ;-)

John, been seeing quite a few Eagles as of late. The ducks and geese are making there way thru back north and the Eagles are right with them.

I have a double barrel 10 gauge shotgun, Spanish made. You can actually pull both triggers at once........I have never been that brave or stupid to try it. One barrel will set you back a step or two. I have seen a 4 gauge shotgun before, now that was something.

I missed you guys, so it's good to be back for sure!

  • Great look to this one, Patrick.   You have a great way of putting parts together and having them look so good.   Neat photo.

Seeing some eagles over there?  A few here of late.   I read a series of books where one character carries an 8 gauge shotgun.   Another friend who reads the series brought a spent 8 guage shell to work to show me.  BIG!

Things seem more right with the world having you building and posting.

  • awesome sauce  ;-)
