I bought the tin sign on eBay for $3.99 with free shipping. The box sides were made from some cedar slats that were given to me at the local flea market. Some used flooring underlayment for the box back. A spent shell casing for the bridge. Kitchen cupboard door hinge part for the string retainer. What you don't see here is the three spoon heads (flattened out) that hold the Volume, tone pots and the output jack. One of the spoon handles was cut for the headstock decoration. The most expensive part was the mini-humbucker pickup, but it sounds AWESOME and worth every penny.
I started out with just the skull and crossbones, but it "needed" something else. I really like using decorative silverware in my builds, so this was a natural fit, both literally and figuratively.
