My first Diddley Bow and first use of a Flathead cigar box! A commission for a guy who wants to play slide. There are frets, but I set the action high at the zero fret to facilitate slide play. I strung it up with a guitar E string and tuned it to E. The adjustable bridge was inspired by the ones ChickenBone John is selling. Of course I 3D printed my in PLAstic fantastic!

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one holding on to one of these cool boxes and not sure how to use it. Thanks for weighing in Southern Ray! I think you may be on to something with an amp/tone distiller/fuzz box. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone do one.
This is really cool, Doug! I love it! I've had one of these boxes for a couple of years woundering what I was aoing to do with it. I look at this work of art and I think maybe I should just make an amp/tone distiller/fuzz box out of it... ;)
Thanks. Wow! That becomes a spendy box Alan. They are pretty distinctive though. I have a few on hand. The ones I bought a few years ago I think I paid $5 each for. The most recent two were only $1 each, a smoking deal!
"Sweet Doug" :-), have seen quite a few Flathead Builds over the years, great looking Box, but unavailable in Australia, the cheapest one I found on Ebay was from the USA, only $19.83AU, but the $61.75AU postage is more than I'm willing to pay :-{
I appreciate the encouraging words BrianQ! I have been wanting to do a Flathead cigar box for a long time, but have delayed because of the unique lid. Two smaller black ones are in the works and these will be chuggers.
