Thanks all. The 'f (for fish) holes' were an attempt to loosen up a rather thick and stiff lid which seems to have worked. I was going to use stylised fish hooks and remember the fish skeleton that I used as a pottery mark years ago. It is prohibited to use frogs as bait here and as far as Mt Lofty Scrubworms, I think you are making that up :)
