Thanks for the kind words. @Dilly: b/c they're not geared, it's a *little* harder to get into tune. Also, on the back of a narrow headstock there's not a lot of clearance for the knobs. Geared tuners, where the knobs project to the sides, would be much easier to manipulate.

A fine looking instrument.
Looks good, i've just started building my first uke and was thinking about using friction tuners, don't think I will now. What was the problem?
