Plain steel and bronze-wound strings do a great job of producing the soundboard vibrations for an acoustic. I use the 6-5-4 strings of a standard string set to get DAD. Try a standard set of light acoustic strings, take the big fat E string (.054) and tune it down to D then A (.042) and D (.032). For GDG tuning use the 5-4-3 strings.
ThX everyone. yeah i definitely will be building more. lastnight i worked on string height. lowered it some. i was trying to tune it too D A D. but i think something is off. maybe length of neck or maybe not right strings. Whats best size strings to use. i had some acoustic strings laying around n put those on.

ThX James, I'll keep those strings in mind.
