  • Thanks for the compliments guys :-)

  • That's really nice. As others have pointed out, really nicely done on the details.

  • Looks great !!, I like the bridge and the rounding of the edges on the box, which really softens the whole look of the build, I wish I had done the same with the 7 Partagas builds of my own. " Well Done !!! "

  • wonderful job my friend. great attention to detail. Kudos on this build. I simply love hte sound those partagus boxes make.  again Kudos man.

  • And thanks to you as well Matt! :-) I'll watch your builds with interest - you have a lot more experience with wood that I. Stick with your practicing - the more you understand the instrument the better yours will play. Ben's lessons on YouTube are great. Good luck mate!
  • Cheers Richey!

Yeah, i've always been comfortable working with wood/DIY over the years but only as a hobby or when the wife wants a new kitchen. I decided that i wanted to learn guitar this year, bought an acoustic but lost interest with it straight away. Probably due to not being able to play like Mark Knopfler after day one...Lol. Somehow i discovered CBG on the internet and fancied building one. I did a bit of research and got a few tips from Ben the Roosterman and made a start. I'm really pleased with the result and can't wait to start another build. I've spent the last few nights learning to play Sweet Home Alabama but I'm just copy playing (like pocket Simon haha) I've no idea where the notes are!

I really appreciate your kind comments it means a lot especially from a great builder like yourself. I've often admired some of your work on this site before I joined up. Your lemon Montecristo build looks superb...think I might try something similar next!

  • I'm guessing you already have some woodworking experience? Really like this.
