finished first cbg build

Homemade resonator box from ply and quarter radius beading with an oak neck recycled from an old piece of furniture which has a mahogany finger board. Nut and bridge are made from a sample of counter top corian. Sink drainer soundhole covers. Cheap chrome tuners and medium strings. Body is finished with Matt black car spray and both the body and neck have generous coatings of Danish oil. Fret markers are just painted on.

  • Thank for all of your great comments. I am about to start my second one, it's in the design stage at the moment. I'm being ambitious, it's gonna be a handmade box again this time mahogany, fretted four string with neck and bridge pick ups. A homage to the Gretsch Bo Diddley.
