Tribute to my dad for the upcoming Father's Day. My father never liked cigars and never played a musical instrument, but he taught me how to use tools and always had some hobby or project going. He used to build the most elaborate dollhouses and give them away. When I asked him why he'd say "What am I going to do with a dollhouse? I got to enjoy building it, let someone else enjoy playing with it". That stuck with me, the joy and pride can be in the creation as much as it can be in the use of a thing, which is perfect because I'm a really terrible guitar player, but I love building them. This guitar has an oak neck, Railrunner bridge and hand cut sound holes. The My Father Cigars were a no brainer for the box and I took the cedar spacer that came with the box and laminated it to the headstock to tie the whole guitar together. The Jaime Garcia logo which incorporates my father's initials, JG has special meaning to me as my own father would stamp those initials in to everything he made.Unfortunately, my father is no longer with us, so I dedicate this guitar to him and say see dad, sometimes I paid attention.

Great story. A beautiful guitar. I get my greatest thrill from hearing another good player play my guitars. In the right hands these things we make take on magical properties. Weather you can play well yourself doesn’t matter. Hearing your baby sing is the payoff.
