Actually Uncle John, that "handle thingy" is actually a piece of wood I cut to mimic the look of spread crow wings. It's actually a floating, flying bridge (similar to one CBGitty uses on one of their "Plain" guitars) that transfers the vibration of strings directly to the top (really the bottom) of the box. That's the big reason I am anxious to get a sound demo video done and actually hear it through an amp.
The neck is screwed to the bottom of the box (now the top) the same way Uncle Crow does his. I will have to take a pic of the inside of the box to post.
Thanks again for the compliments. Hopefully folks will think she sounds as good as she looks. :-)
That handle thingy is the best part - holding neck to box. I kind of had to laugh at this because I think of a Crow build as being plain and basic. And it's SO hard to stay plain and basic once you get building. It came out really good.

She's a beaut mate, very nicely done!
Wow! That's handle thing is even cooler now that I understand it is a floating bridge that transfers pressure to the box and likely enhances sound!
