Anyone else found how useful lengths of fret wire are for concealing, what one might call "unintentional deviations from the design of an unsightly nature" (ballsed it up!) Turns a mistake, like having a couple of edges don't meet properly, into an effect that looks like binding! The amount of times something has gone wrong and it's been possible to turn it round and make it better than it was because of the mistake. Also, using clear plastic sheeting, the same thickness as a scratchplate, on the paper covered ones, so that they don't get too dog eared, seems to work, and doesn't affect the tone :)

Alan - I'm not sure there are mistakes in making CBG's! Opportunities for improvised design.... ;-) Goes with the 'no rules' theme....
