Electric tenor neck #2 013

Second of three necks I'm making for solid body electric tenor guitars. Maple was a lucky find at local home improvement center, with a modest amount of figuring. Rosewood fretboard slotted to 22.875" scale. Dual action truss rod, and tuner holes set to accept a 4-on-plate mandolin tuner rig I had in drawer. Next is to rub on multiple coats of Tung or Danish oil (not decided on which yet), then frets & all that comes with that fun job.

  • I forgot to add that normally I sand to 600 grit...but this neck got a bit of special treatment and got the 1000 grit rub down before oil application. Result is a super smooth fast neck, especially when using oil instead of clear coat poly.
