Yes I made it using only hand tools.I didn't have to distress it at all.The box is very old as is the neck.I agree Uncle John about the tuners but I built what the box called out for .

Gotta tell ya I have a brother-in-law up north who lives in an executive style house, but this boy has disconnected his gas line a long time ago and has burned wood ever since!
Oh! It looks so good, but I bet it would play better with (much less cool looking) geared tuners. Oh gees, forget the geared tuners. It's like a museum piece or focal point on the wall as it is.
