  • Thanks again for being so supportive and awesome!
  • Yup.  A huge WELCOME to you.

  • Egypt & Scott: You are SO far ahead of me!  I didn't know what a CBG was until Christmas of 2013!  Glad your friends and family are supportive, Egypt - you're learning some great skills!  My exposure to CBG's was through my older son, whose girlfriend is an anthropologist teaching at Loyola (Chicago); and she's participated in digs in So. Africa as well as other research there!  She's the blonde in my "Woot-Jam" pictures, and she loves her CBG (my #10 build)!  You might really enjoy talking 'shop' with her some day!  Good luck down the road!

  • That's my girl!

  • Thanks guys! Folk music is certainly an huge part of my life, and I'm very glad that I'm learning how to build instruments!

Gary W, my friends accepted a long time ago that I'm weird :) I'd much rather listen to people like Woody Guthrie than Paramore etc., I love watching silent films, and I'm going to college to be a Greco-Roman Egyptologist (so I can dig square holes in the ground). Good thing I have have some pretty awesome friends and family!

  • You guys are awesome!
  • Egyptpunk (to friends): "I worked on a banjo dowel tenon today."

    Friends: "A WHAT??"

Keepin' the craft alive....  ;-)  Way to go!

  • I agree with Bluesheart.  Plus I like the banjo building pictorial.

  • That is nice. We don't see many young people in here!
