No need to leave feed, they pig out on the pooh grass, the lush grass that grows on the sewrage line...
He's a big fella a little hard to tell from this shot but here relaxed & upright over 6 ft, then he stood even more erect & grew another ft, missed that shot a little pre occupied with his next movements I was pretty close, & they're pretty territorial at this time of year...
I was hanging out the washing to encourage the looming thunder clouds (to no avail) & couldn't resist a couple of snaps, he lined me up to begin with, so I sang to him, after that he just let me be, we were really quite close (in prox) for ages...20 min at least...superb creature!
