I've actually changed the frets to double bends (each end) fitting into pre drilled holes made from a jig I constructed out of angle aluminium and a fret bending jig I made from a piece of wood and angle aluminium.
These jigs let me bend both ends of each fret at exactly the same point and the holes are all accurately spaced.
the other way, the frets will come loose when the guitar is left in the car on a hot day! (and fall off while busking !) . . .at least the way I glued them they will. . .lol
This is the one you showed me when I was at the markets. Any chance you can take a close up of how the frets fitted cause I'm sure every one would be facinated is such an innovative build. Also your pick holder is a trip as well ; )
Hey Michael, the frets were bent at one end (slide side) and fitted into holes at the end of each fret groove then held in place with a couple of drops of epoxy glue in each groove. the un bent ends of each fret were ground to shape prior to fitting.
