  • Very nice. I like the treatment of the different woods on the neck. Hope there is some video of the sound.
  • Hi Randy, I used a 13 7/8 scale, (mandolin length), and left off a few half steps to make it a "Diatonic" instrument, DAAD, or CGGC. It is a lot of fun to play, and I added a pickup. Its small, and makes a great tag-a-long. Always brings smiles from all the players I meet and pick with. I found that rahter than trying to brace the top, I set the fret board on the top like a dulcimer. Works well, and is very easy to make. My later ones have more of a shaped neck. Rich
