    No, color coated over steel strings... you can get them is several colors.... I recycled them off my "Stella Monster"... Too light on a long scale, but perfect on this shorter scale... Had to add a second 0.023" to make up the double course treble set.

    Sweet lookin' build. Are those nylon strings and a mag. pick up?? I'm confused.....
