  •  Inspired idea.

I have a funky little single coil I disassembled and considered mounting it under the plate with just 3 of the adjustable pole pieces exposed thru the face of the plate and everything else hidden beneath. Might have to install a single steel rail tapped with the proper spacing for the pole pieces, but I think it would be doable.

  • It's a keeper.

  • Yeah, that was my first intent, to really roach out the neck and hardware, but nothing I had on hand looked quite right. The neck was originally intended for a commissioned piece, but I got into a bad spot at the heal while doing the grain raise. Kept revealing more and more cracks, So I opened them up and  repaired them with JB Weld for wood. I decided to make another neck for the customer, and build this one for myself.

  • Wow.  That box and that old plate are a perfect match.  Inspired.   I first looked at this and thought it would be better if the neck, etc. was beat up to match.  Nope.   Just right just as it is.  Great look.

Only thing I might wish for - and that depends on how it sounds plugged in as it now is- would be a mag pup between the 1 and the P.
