Oh yeah... sound. It doesn't have a real loud voice acoustically - not like a banjo anyway, but it sounds a lot brighter than a cigar box through an amp. I'm leaning toward liking the CBG sound better, but I just couldn't resist when I started looking around for resonator parts. I'm lucky in that the guys next door to my shop do powder coating and the ring is done in candy apple powder. Should stand up to a little hard picking.
The neck is made of tiger stripe maple with a flame beech stringer. The fret board is made of birds eye maple. Kind of tough to get all the little "eyes" filled but it sure makes for a visually appealing effect!
