The guts of #16 lap steel by Dave Lynas. I modeled my guitar after a 30s Regal carcass I got on ebay. The shape, scale length, position marker design, control panel shape, recessed area for the pickup and pots are all taken from the old Regal. The hard wired chord idea is also typical of the period of lap steels. This was a fun and rewarding build for me. Photo before insulating my wiring with tape.
