More of the guts of #16 lap steel. This is the first time I've used a tone pot. I built this one using a freebe capacitor thrown in on some pots ordered off ebay. I got my wiring diagram from "Handmade Music Factory" which has been a great guide and inspiration for me. Thanks Mike Orr, great book! I like doing the wiring when I've got clear illustrated guides like Mike's. I used a router to cut in the basic pockets then worked with a dremmel tool sanding drum to finish the shapes. You can see, she's just a pile of glued up planks, shaped with a belt sander, band saw and hand sanding. I use Minwax rub on poly varnish on all my stuff. Often 10 coats with 1000 grit sanding between coats.
