The support in there is a piece of poplar I had lying about just glued to the back of the neck. I hope that will be strong enough for the long run.

I like that extra support added to brace the bottom of the neck. Seems like a good way to get enough clearance for a wound pickup too. I've just been chiseling and praying with my through neck builds so far, but I bought a refurbished bandsaw last night and am itching to try this out. :)
