It has metal 1/8" x 3/4" roll pins inserted in the holes flush with the top and counter sunk 1/4" hole on backside for the string balls to set in...........just make sure the slot in the pin faces away from the string and works out great. Makes changing strings simple and easy ;)

Looks great, but do you need some metal in those string holes so the wood does not get eaten up?
