Vardo

I built this last year so me & the Mrs didn't have to sleep on the ground when we went to the various music festivals in the area. I think it will help me sell guitars this year.

  • That is just way too cool...gotta build one of these...Great job Bob

  • Just posted an interior pic from last Spring.  Wasn't finished inside yet, but mostly done.

The law here in NC is a utility trailer is legal for whatever load it carries as long as it does not exceed DOT height/width/weight rules and as log as the lights are visible (they are).  Technically, this its just a utility trailer with a unique load.  When I take it on the road I attach the trailer license plate on that left fender where the brake light is.

  • Great Gypsy vibe with that, sooo cool!!

  • That thing is sweet! Thanks for the pic.Yes Interior pic would be killer too! Nice build there Madurobob.

  • I love the idea ! must be great to move around in this thing. In Europe they would probably not allow you on the road with it, too many regulations !

  • That was the inspiration, Wes. a gypsy wagon (they call them "vardo").  I'll see if I have any pics of the interior - its all reds and golds and layers of ornate fabrics.

  • Liking this ALOT!

  • It's not that difficult, really.  I built it on a utility trailer I wasn't using and built 85% of it in two weekends.  I have plans to build another, to address all the mistakes I made ;)

If you can build a guitar, you can build this.

  • I wish I was a little more handy. I'd love to build one of those.
