Giving a side view here...that little box enclosing the humbucker was a pain to make..Would appreciate .if anyone has an idea on a easier way to house this thing
One thing I would like to add...Like everyone else here, I'm sure, .I learn something new on every build. On this build I used D'addario strings as opposed to no name strings.....Building a cigar box guitar is a lot of work I can tell you the time to save money is not when you put the strings on.....the difference is vastly "noticeable"
Uncle John I love the way this thing sounds and very easy to handle...just a very comfortable guitar...I think the strings get more sideways travel at this location and it adds to the quality of the sound, I am super pleased with it....uh did I mention I will be selling it on ebay probably next week....lol
Darryl....That's what I was going to name it....lol....A friend of mine was telling someone at the American Legion about these guitars I made so the guy says he had a box I could have...at first I thought I would not be able to use it....so I set it aside for a couple weeks and thought about it.
I've mounted pickups there and they sound great. Mine were retro-fits. Yours looks so good that I bet we will see more doing it. Maybe me. Ha, good comment Darryl!
