I'm also accumulating parts for my first CBG build....Many thanks to Chickenbone John for supplying the superb quality neck and fretboard kit (black walnut fretboard and mahogony neck) which will give me a bit of head start for my first attempt.

Hi Uncle John, Thank you for your interest and advice, it is always most welcome and appreciated. You read my mind....again! Fretless (and simple) is exactly what I thought too. I'm currently pondering the best approach(s) for attaching the neck, having seen a variety of different options. Obviously 'neck through' is out if I'm going to fit the resonator, and as the top and bottom panels are only around 3mm thick, I'm looking at bracing ideas as well.
