Digging out the old builds

Well since I`m on doctors care now and not allowed to be in my shop for awhile. Decided to dig all my old builds out and discover them all over again. Started with the Skull d-bow today.

    Carving hard maple is no easy task...great work!

    The top was done with both a dremel and carving chisels. It started out as a 1" thick Hard Maple board.

    Nice carving on that skull!  You do that with mallet and chisels or power carver/dremel tool?  Great work...

    306200920?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024One piece Hard Maple relief carved top with a Crocker single pole pup with an ebony cap. Weathered poplar sides and bottom, red oak dowel neck and loads of detailed bone work.
