It's not very loud being just a 1w amp but I think it was necessary as the soundboard needed a bit of reinforcing taking a downward pressure of 7 strings. It would have been very muffled as an acoustic.
The fun really comes into it with the tuning combinations between the two necks. All of the frets are parallel between the two guitars so it's easy to switch necks and play runs and chords based on whatever tuning you decide to set it up with. Because the strings along both necks have the same distance between them, it doesn't complicate playing style, you know where your fingers should be.

This is out of this world. How fun it must be to just play amplified anywhere!
