Bundle of 50 lathes around $6.00 U.S. Likely could make 100 fret boards. These sanded down easily and nicely. Good for fretless. Likely too soft a wood for fretted. The yellow baby is going to a grand niece. The other two will likely be gifted as well. Fun, quick and sloppy builds. Fun sturf.

"Yessssss", cheap fretboards, what sort of timber?, also a nice selection of "Dwarf Didlley's", have yet to build a "Shorty Diddly", thinking of one around 16 inch scale???

PPS, the slotted screw nut and saddle works fine and speeds the process.
PS, Alan. These are quick, easy, cheap and fun to gift or sell super cheap.
I just kind of use smaller boxes and 'eyeball' the scale. I think 'lathe wood' can be varied woods. This is soft and has few knots. Pine?

Thanks, Wes. I know you enjoy gifting too.
Fun little gits. Thanks, Bjorn. As the photo shows, pretty nice here. Sunny and about 60 F or 15 C.
Simpbeautilyfull and Nice.
Yup, Kieth and Erasmo. I've torn into a few old lathe walls to redo them. Dirty work!
A bundle of lathes is just handy to have around. Tomato plant steaks, crap, a little of this and that.
In the old days, prior to gypsum/plaster board, they would nail strips of wood to the walls and apply plaster over it.
Better yet, Jerry.
