It's Dick's patina Bristol. Dick owned the box. He wrote Dick over most of It and went over all the lettering to decorate it. He did a good job. This build will forever be named Dick.
Hey Gary. Ya good eye. I filed the fret slots to get a very low action. Three frets buzzed so I filed them. Then I raised the action at the bridge by taking the strings out of their slots. The action is now just right for slide and picking. I may make a new bridge out of hardwood. This one was made just for starters to get strings on and hear this thing sing.

Ha! I've been known to add business cards (about 0.015") as shims under a bridge to eliminate fret buzz. Temporarily of PC!
Hmmmm... I think the strings are supposed to fit inside the slots... Or is this an optical illusion?
