    Yup, I carried on with a uke build even after discovering  masonite/hardboard. Turned out better than I would have guessed and it was acoustic. Hey, The old Danelectros were made with this stuff!

    I totally agree with John ! I've built some pretty nice sounding 3 stringers out of "hardboard" ! One of 'em looked alot like "this" particular box !!!

    Build with it anyway!   They often sound good and you can make it electric and it hardly matters if it's tone wood or moan wood.
