  • A fitting commemoration to your Dad. Excellent build!  I like what you have done with the headstock (my Dad worked for British Railways at Derby, England).

  • I have only lived in this town for a bit more than a year, but I am already interested in local history. Back in the day, the Minneapolis and St. Louis RR ran right where my street is. Getting a logo of that and making a git is a dandy idea.
  • Thanks for the comments. It is a nice looking guitar, the box had good graphics and the black neck matched up good. It has good sound unplugged and much better plugged in.  Good to hear from another railroad family member. My dad and several other family worked for the old L & N that after several mergers became part of the CSX. Makes me think I need to build a Louisville & Nashville RR guitar. I have a bunch of stuff with the logo on it, even got some old paper timetables and rule books that I could glue to the box. Man my wheels are turning. I think it would be well received the L & N is still revered in this part of the country. Still see a few old guys wearing hats with the logo and underlined with "Gone but not forgotten"

  • Cool history on your dad.  My dad was a RR man too.  Great looking guitar and amp.  That guitar is getting my up in the high 9s rating.
