Damaged thundergut

Hi I pulled to hard on the D string and it became thinner at the 3rd. I think this is the reason I am having a buzz on the 3rd even thought it is fretless. Any suggestion welcome.

    Crap.  Looks problematic.  What could have caused that?  Did you get it too tight?

    And I have the same problem at the 5th on the same string and again it seems thinner there.
