  • Wow MD , great old box you found there . My Great great Grandfather was a young sailor on the Cutty Sark he was on board when it ran aground in Morten  Bay Q.L.D. He made his passage to Brisbane to return to the ship after it was salvaged but he decided to stay ashore on Morten Island where he returned to sea as a Harpoonist on the Whaling ships that used Morten island as there base , I do remember the early 60’s I use to play on the flenzing floor while my Father and his brothers would work as day got longer the water would turn to blood not happy memories to say the least but they new no better it those days . Again wicked build MD your work is second to none .
