  • hey i only just looked at your photo--luv it ,however much trouble it is ,,,just do it .it'll be awesome

  • i only used a rod once and put it in the bridge with a bit o bone pressing down on it,sounds ok but you'll need a preamp. prob i found was the cable has to pass into the body which obviously means drilling in exactly the right place,i made a 'dummy' bridge, strung it, got the intonation sorted, then put the 'rod bridge in ,and then wired it up. phew, good luck ,

  • Any takes on bracing the back will it help with the sound at this lower level of a build. Ive also kicked around the idea of a sound post that goes from the neck thru to the back of a guitar as seen in violins any thoughts

  • that mimic/accent bridge base has crossed my mind I will have to put a couple beers on it tonight. Can I mount a rod piezo without a pre amp they all seem to have plugs on the end of them also where would you recomend mounting a rod inside the box or in saddle

  • How about a bridge base to mimic the soundhole design..i`d go with a rod piezo..

  • Ya kinda an experiment after I messed up the box trying to put on a bolt on neck now just trying something completely different. I have decided to exclude the chrome screened holes for now. I will install a piezo pickup. I will continue to share my progress still brain storming on saddle and bridge currently working on a cross cut of a tree branch for saddle but not in love with the look yet always open to suggestions

  • Interesting design...just hope those large soundholes don`t rob it of it`s acoustic sound...are you adding some kind of pickup?

  • Nicely done.  I will be interested to see it done and have you say how it sounds.   Take your time.  Too nice to hurry.
