Thanks! I have to admit, it didn't sound as good as it looks at first-the bottom of the tin was too 'loose' in due to the large size of the tin. See that little 'wing' under beneath the Fretboard though? Two screws run into my Through-neck, and press the cedar against the tin, tensioning the face like it was a regular skin-if age 'stretches' the ductile aluminum later, a simple adjustment of the screws and some thin shims should re-tension to keep the tone. Working so far...
If I had to do it all over again though, i'd use a smaller, sturdier tin in the first place.I thought the larger tin would get a deeper sound and the 'serving tray' style lid would make a good Resonator plate (and it did) but the smaller tins always worked first time out of the gate without the endless tweaking...
