  • and another short recording of this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIDaJKWFZcg

  • You could put a sound hole on the side, where there isn't any design on it. Very cool git.

  • Beautiful!

  • Thanks @Uncle John!

  • I like.

  • hehhe... like my recordings are great, are they? ;-)

    Pretty cool!

  • good stuff  man  ,  heres a tin  i did a few   years back  .  nylon  strings and a rod  piezo  .  even sone  slide .   http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/bobby-tin

(recording is  horrible tho)  lol ,  had a crappy crackly   mic .

  • The test recordings on soundcloud are acoustic, btw - just picked up with an environmental microphone in the room I was playing.

  • Yes I used a bow. Of course there is no arch  so you can't really get to the middle string... but it sounded very 'cello-ish' - hence the name :-)

Will try some nylon strings builds - seems also more appropriate for kids instruments.

  • cool .  were  you  uaing a  bow  in that  first  test  ?  :-D

PS ,,  these  tins  can sound  sweet with nylon strings, (and a piezo/  rod) and   what  shocks  many     is  it  slides   very  well  on  nylon.  .
