My concert sized Cigar Box Ukulele will have 18 frets all on the neck, which will be 10'' long between the nut and the cigar box resonator. There will be 5'' of space for picking and strumming the strings on the face of the cigar box right before we run into the movable bridge. The eighteen frets will require 9.697'' of the neck length according to the Stew-Mac fret calculator, so allocating 10'' of neck space for the frets is a workable design.
