  • Thanks Brian. I made a pickup cover for Isabela out of Narra. I have a plank of it to use. Looks just right on her.
  • Yes, it’s a relative of mahogany? The heart wood has a pretty reddish- purple tint to it? 

  • Very interesting Brian. It’s wonderful wood you can look right into it. It shimmers when you move it. I put one coat of varnish on it yesterday. It glows. Is Narra a Mahogany type?
  • Dave, that wood is most likely Narra, its one of the most used woods in the Philippines? We have always had furniture made of it, so I can spot it anywhere?

  • I know on the flip side. When one goes in for adjustments, Isabela will be waiting. I like the wood lid. It’s goog nuff.
