The tuners look good and evenly spaced from the front view. The heaviest string might be straighter if I turned it the other way on the first tuner. Does it make a lot of difference? or even any...I have used this head stock shape before on a 3 in line build.

  • Thanks, guys.

I have used this style head stock before and I usually have been pleased with the results. It curved the other way for the bottom tuners. I don't think the string is off enough to futz with it.

  • Hi, looks good to me, as long as the string stays in its groove, all good. OR... you could wind the first string the other way on its post and you will have matching angles.

  • Again, great headstock!  I think the strings stay in tune better when wrapped in the correct direction.  If the angled line bugs you, you can always route it through a small screw eye.  Personally I would leave it as is - looks great!

  • Rich’s signature headstock!! I like that album too, especially the one he did with earth, wind & fire!
